Missy's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Missy is one of the sweetest dogs you could ask for. She found her self at a local shelter at no fault of her own. She is very much a lap dog and enjoys spending time with her humans. She likes to sleep quietly in bed with her person or soundly on a doggy bed or pillow. She is great with other dogs, cats and people of all ages and sizes.

She weighs 10 pounds and is approximately 18 months old. We are not sure what she is mixed with but she is a small breed dog.
Missy is house trained and will go outside or use a training pad.

She will sleep in a crate but prefers not too. She rides well in a car, and walks very well on a leash.

She is heartworm negative and currently on Heartworm, Flea and tick preventatives. She is also up to date on all her shots.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Missy, a Crossville Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Crossville, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Crossville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Crossville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Crossville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Crossville paves the way for another one to be saved.
