Sweet Sadie! This girl is a tiny little thing, weighing just a bit over 40lbs. She's very small in stature, too. Sadie is approx 5-6yrs old and until we were able to rescue her, she did not receive the time, attention and love she deserves. She was originally found left behind, chained to a tree in Oregon after a homeless camp moved to another area. She was then moved to numerous foster homes, the last one left Sadie alone, restricted to a bedroom for days at a time. She was there for almost 6mo. When our rescue heard of this girl we stepped in to rescue her again! She was almost 10lbs underweight, much of her hair was missing and her skin was in terrible shape. It's clear that she was bred somewhere in her past, too. We have had all medical needs taken care of including all vaccines, microchip, dental and spay surgery, and various other types of care... including lots of love and cuddles!! She is now a happy, silly, affectionate girl that loves all people. Sadie still gets very over-stimulated when near other active animals so absolutely no other animals in the home. She is a tiny, energetic girl that would be a great jogging partner or just a stay at home cuddle buddy! She's perfectly happy just running around the backyard and playing with her person, and then to come inside and relax and while you give her lots of belly rubs. She must have a fenced backyard and an experienced, adult only home would be best.

About K9 Rescue & Rehabilitation

About Our Rescue Group...

K9 R&R rescues 'Green Mile' dogs from shelters and other various facilities across the nation, but focusing primarily on those throughout the west coast. In addition, we help re-home family pets of owners who can no longer care for them. K9 R&R assesses and works with every dog prior to adopting them out and continues to provide support to adopters for the entire life of the dog. K9 Rescue & Rehab was founded with the desire to provide a more thorough, inclusive, supportive approach to dog rescue and re-homing. When adopting a K9 R&R dog, you are not only adding a new family member, but are becoming part of an extended family that is always there to support you in hard times and celebrate with you in joyful ones.

Our Adoption Process...

Interested adopters should email info@k9rr.org to request an application. Once complete, the application can be returned via email and quickly reviewed. If approved, we then invite potential adopters to visit with one or more of the dogs that interest them. If the meet and greet goes well, we encourage a week long "trial adoption" to ensure a good match. During that week we communicate often and are available for support and guidance, via phone or email, 24/7.

K9 R&R adoption fees range from $285-$500 and include all vetting and microchip. We also provide ongoing training tips and help as needed, for the life of the dogs.

K9 R&R is a non-profit, volunteer based organization.
