Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jade is a very sweet girl. She is 3 years old and a perfect 40 pounds! She is calm, but can be very playful with people she knows well. She plays well with the other dogs she has met. She likes to watch her foster moms intently from her bed when they are cooking or working, which always makes us laugh. With a little patience, Jade will be someone's best friend and maybe even their adventure buddy, considering how excited she is by the outdoors! She is shy with new people but slowly opens up and then loves being your best friend! Jade LOVES the outdoors. She walks well on a leash and is currently getting used to the hustle and bustle of NYC. Jade has fun bursts of energy, particularly when her foster moms come home from work. She also is playful and excited when in a large grassy area, such as parks. Other than that, Jade can be found trotting around her foster apartment, chewing her plush toys, or sleeping!
Jade loves to be outside, especially in grass! While busy roads make her a little nervous, she immediately frolics and rolls around as soon as she sees grass. She absolutely loves belly rubs and being pet, but she is very polite and tends not to climb or sit on people. She particularly likes soft plush squeaky toys, and occasionally can get on board with playing with a tennis ball- although nothing beats her plush squeaky dinosaur and banana toys! Jade likes her food a lot, but she hasn't expressed much interest in treats. Along those lines, she typically does not eat food on the sidewalk and almost never begs!
Although Jade can be a little nervous at first around other people and dogs, after a few days she opens up to be the playful, sweet pup that she is! Jade tends to act shy around other people, but she has over time opened up dramatically with both of her parents and other friends!
