My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This beautiful dog is approx 1 year old and 17 lbs. She was picked up in a not so nice pat of town. Her owner did not want her any more and surrendered her to a rescue. She was matted, and dirty. After a grooming, a new and stunning dog emerged. She is a happy go lucky pup and loves to run and play with her buddies. She just loves toys - the more the merrier. She is active and will need a fully fenced in yard. As she is active, we would prefer no small children that she could knock over while playing. She does pretty well on a leash and seems to be good on the house training. She does like to be around people or her doggie buddies. She can climb over a baby gate to find out where you are in the house. She has a great disposition and is just a wonderful dog. We are not sure of her breed mix but terrier with maybe poodle or cairn is our guess.

We require a fenced yard an a playful doggy buddy.

She did test positive for heartworms and has been treated with the required series of injections and she has also been started on a monthly heartworm preventative.

The total adoption donation of $525 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. We also provide a coupon for a free wellness visit to the South Wilton Vet group if convenient for you. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Our application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/
