Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Murray is an affectionate 12 year old Lhasa Apso mix. Murray was well loved
and well fed by his owner. Unfortunately his dear owner had to go to an
Alzheimer’s Care Center and Murray couldn’t go with her. His owner’s
family surrendered him back to Pets & People, so now Murray is a senior
guy looking for a new family to spend the rest of his life with. Murray
could get along well in many homes and situations, but does not care for
the shelter. He is overwhelmed and nervous here. However, away from here
he is a very happy boy. Loves to wag his tail!.He gets along well with
other dogs, in fact, he really wants to have another doggy friend in his
home. He loves walks and needs them to help him shed a few pounds. Murray
does not like to be picked up (may be in part to his chunky tummy).
However, he will make an exception when getting into a vehicle. He enjoys
car rides. Murray is crate trained and house broken. He would do best in
a house that does not require the use of stairs, as they are difficult for
him with his small legs and weight. Murray is a cuddle bug and would do
well with someone who can take the time to pet him. He will even run his
head back under your hand when you quit petting him. Sweet and social boy
with all adults and respectful children. He has a lot of love to add to a
home.
The first pic is what he looks like now. The second is a pic from when he
was first adopted in 2012 and he was groomed like a shihtzu not just
shaved down like he was recently.
His adoption fee is $120. which includes spay/neuter, vaccinations (including all puppy boosters for puppies under 4 months), worming, flea/tick treatment if needed, and collar/leash/tags.
