My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kami is a beautiful red and gold adult female Akita. When first meeting Kami she is unsure, but with a little gentle sweet talk, she will come out of her shell and give love and snuggles. Kami is currently with our foster/breed trainer's home. Being Kami came to us with very little confidence, she needs some help to blossom and get her used to meeting new people and living inside of a home. You see, this girl comes from a puppy mill, and she never was treated as a pet. She was used for profit only. Those days are long gone, Kami has moved forward leaving her past behind. With time, love, and training Kami now is crate trained, able to meet new people, and knows the sounds and routine of living in a home. She is doing awesome!

We feel Kami is super soft making her a candidate for a first time breed owner, she will need to go to a home with a confident, large, adult male who can show her the ropes. She needs to follow and not lead. Kami is now obedience trained too! She can do well in a home with children who know how to respect a large dog. Kami has turned into a very adoptable girl, in a home that is calm, routine, and loving she will blossom. Is this darling a fit for your home?
