Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Joe Bob is a year old hound mix. He needs a family experienced with dominant minded dogs. He needs boundaries and consistency in a new home. He is playful and wants to please, but he will try to be in charge if he senses his people are not his alpha. Because of this, he will not do well in a home with kids under 15 because they typically have a more difficult time being the alpha. He lets you take away food/treats, but he will try to steal things away from other dogs. He does best around more confident dogs - he still shows some puppy characteristics, but he can try to be a bit of a bully to an insecure dog.
He's a great boy - loves to cuddle and play with other dogs and toys. He is kenneled while he is home alone, and does great on his housetraining. He barks a little bit in his kennel but isn't vocal otherwise. He is just waiting to find his perfect home!

Policies: You do not have to have a fence to adopt a dog from us, but some dogs will require a fence or acres to play. Also, Since preschoolers are more likely to be bit, we do not place dogs in homes where children under the age of 4 are present. The Adoption Fee is not enough to cover the vet bills. Sales tax of almost 7% is also included in the adoption fee that you see. Please consider donating to Last Hope to help us save these animals!
