My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello Arizona Peoples!

Because I was the oldest doggie on the haul from Kansas, Miss Wanda let me type my bio first!
I just turned 7 years old in February. I ran 99 races, then raised speedy puppies. Seriously, I don't know why they didn't let me run 100 races. I'm a little OCD, so having run 99 races drives me crazy.

One of my aunties says I look like Hayley Who Bear. I don't know Hayley, but Ms Wanda said I might see her at Bark in the Park playgroup. Maybe I'll "accidentally" switch collars with Hayley and go home with her people. WAHAHAHAHA!! (That was a devious laugh.)

If you take me home before I meet Hayley, I won't have to be bad.

Just Sayin',

Mama Pajama (PJ)

P.S. If you adopt me now, I'll waive the requirement to buy me cute PJ's, at least until the fall.

Her small dog status is not yet known, but she is not cat tolerant .

FOSTER UPDATE:

PJ is a very confident sweet female. Her cat and small dog status are unknown at this time. Her foster dad thinks she would get along with children, but she hasn't been able to prove that yet, because she hasn't been around them. She gets along great with 2 other greyhounds in her foster home, but her foster dad thinks she may be ok as an only dog too.

PJ has not shown any fear of noises nor has she shown any aggressive behavior such as growling, snarling, snapping. She is house trained without a dog door, but also stayed temporary at a home where she used a doggie door successfully. PJ whines when fosters leave, but then settles down. She whines in the morning when she wants fosters to wake up.

PJ is being crated overnight and when foster is not home. She has to be persuaded to get in, but then is fine. She stayed at another fosters home where she was not crated and she never did anything destructive and slept in a dog bed thru the night. She enjoyed laying out in the sun on the outdoor couch. She does chase birds in the yard. She loves riding in the car, and jumps in on her own.

She likes to eat on her own schedule, and graze throughout the day. She eats a mixture of Nature's Recipe grain free chicken and Taste of the Wild Salmon and some wet food. She is picky about her treats. She doesn't like hard treats, but will eat duck jerky and blue buffalo square treats.

She loves walking, but wants to be in the lead and will pull on the leash. She allows grooming and nails to be trimmed with no problems. She knows her name , PJ, No and Hey. She will come will called. She is mostly a couch potato that wants to be petted.

PJ would do good in a home with lots of attention and lots of comfy places to sleep. She likes to watch Dog TV and will graze on others bowls, even if it's not her food. She occasionally plays with toys, but mostly just loves her human attention.
