My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chloe is an approximately 4 year old Black female who was living on a chain in a yard. She came to rescue emaciated and extremely scared. Chloe will be on Medical Hold until her physical condition improves and she can put on some much needed weight. She is also learning that not all humans are horrible. Chloe is adjusting easily to living inside but is slow to trust and needs to learn how to be a dog again. She is making good progress but slow and steady will be the key with her. When she lets her guard down you can see glimmers of how sweet she really is. She is a gem in the making. Chloe came to MAGDRL in February. (5)

Update April 1, 2017
Chloe is a very loving and affectionate Dane and has acclimated very well to becoming an inside dog after being chained outside to a dog house. She is potty trained, using the doggie door, and hasn't destroyed/chewed up anything in the house, even while having free run of it for hours with my other Dane. At night, she sleeps in a crate but could probably do without. She LOVES food, people, and car rides, but baths, not so much! She also isn't fond of the gentle leader while walking but needs it! She knows a few commands and learned a few new ones very quickly. Given she has never had any formal training a mandatory training requirement will be part of her adoption contract. Chloe would be best as an only dog or with a subservient other dog in the house. Chloe is a relaxed and mellow Dane, just in need of love!
