Calvin's Story...
Calvin is a mellow boy who LOVES to give kisses. He's not met a stranger yet he didn't want to kiss since entering the B.A.R.C. program. Calvin was dropped in an overnight pen at a local animal shelter and later turned over to B.A.R.C. for placement. Calvin is already neutered and will be evaluated by our veterinarian prior to adoption. He appears to be familiar with living inside a house and finds the couch quite comfortable. Calvin is good for bath time and seems to get along well with other dogs. Please check back for updates on Calvin. He is being fostered in the Brunswick Area.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Calvin, a Jacksonville Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
