Hi guys! My name is Sicilian Buttercup, but you can call me Buttercup. I'll bet you don't know what my name means? It is the name of an exotic breed of chicken that comes from Sicily! It might sound weird to name a cat after a chicken but it fits, because my sister and I were found locked up in an abandoned chicken coop. It's a good thing someone rescued us because there weren't any chickens in the coop and we were getting pretty hungry. Anyway, we had some tummy troubles for awhile but now we are doing just fine. We're still taking some medication but we are almost finished with it and ready for our forever homes. Both my sister (Cubalaya) and I are really cuddly and affectionate. We love people and we love one another: we play together; we sleep together; and we even groom one another. Being abandoned in a chicken coop is a bonding experience and we are bonded.
