My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This beautiful girl is very loving, calm but still playful, and you would never know that she is 100% deaf! She is very smart, and has already picked up the hand gesture for “sit”. She gets along great with other dogs, and is fine with cats, though she’s apparently never seen one before, and likes to keep an eye on them when they are in the room. She is house- and crate-trained, and while she doesn’t enjoy her crate time, after a few minutes of quiet whining, she settles down to her toy or a nap. She is working on her leash manners, and enjoys taking walks when the weather allows. Because she is deaf, Harper would be most comfortable in a home without small children.

Update: Harper was adopted, but has returned to us because her family is moving. She is looking for her forever home!

For all adoptions, our group requires a home-visit. The home-visit is to help us ensure the best match for the dog and adoptive family. In most cases our foster dogs will require a fenced yard; there are some exceptions on a case-by-case basis. Our dogs are fostered in our homes as a family pet, no 'yard dogs'.

Our adoption fee is $90 which helps to cover spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, DHLPP vaccine, Bordetella, microchip and heartworm tested negative (maintained on monthly heartworm and flea prevention) for each of our rescue dogs.
