Garrett's Story...
So you like older more mature dogs? AWESOME, so do we!! OLDER DOGS ROCK!

Garrett is a stately gentlemen that we just couldn't pass up on when he was calling out to us from a local shelter. This black and white boy has sown his wild oats and is looking for someone to hang out with in the Lazy Boy. He was adopted last month by an elderly gentleman but was returned to the Cocker Inn after the man tripped and fell over him and landed in rehab. Garrett is a low maintenance boy who is as quiet as a mouse and is totally house trained. He loves to take naps and just hang out with his human.

(CSRET has many seniors in our program and has had to limit our intake of older dogs because they are harder to find homes for. Please consider opening your heart and homes for some of our more mature dogs who deserve to live out their lives in a loving home. It is very difficult for us to leave one behind in a cold shelter because nobody wants to adopt an older dog)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Garrett, a Sugarland Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Sugarland, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Sugarland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sugarland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sugarland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sugarland paves the way for another one to be saved.
