Here's what the humans have to say about me:
IDGSR WELCOMES THOMAS INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!!
PLEASE NOTE: If the dog you are interested in is online, he/she is still available and it is not necessary to email to inquire.
Thomas is a handsome German Shepherd who is 7 yr. old and weighs 105 lb. He lived on a chain in a junkyard for 4 years before being rescued by an IDGSR volunteer. He is living in a foster home now and his foster mom is just getting to know him. Thomas is a velcro dog and will follow you everywhere. He has been tested with a few dogs and he will need to be the only male dog in the home. Not cat tested yet but will be. He is friendly with kids but will do best with older children given his size and his energy around kids. Thomas has learned basic commands and his foster mom is getting him started on leash walking calmly. He corrects easily, learns quickly and is eager to please. Thomas is learning how good life can be in a real home and he would love to have a family of his own to love.
If you would like to make Thomas a part of your family, please apply by clicking the adoption application link at the top of the page.
Each dog's adoption fee varies depending on the age of the dog.
$300 for any dog 1 year and younger (PUPPY
$250 for any dog 1-6 years (YOUNG & ADULT)
$200 for any dog 7 years (ADULT SENIOR)
All our adoptable dogs are up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing, monthly preventative, and have been spayed or neutered.
Please note that not all dogs are cat or small dog friendly. We do our best to test our dogs around cats and dogs of different sizes to determine the best home for the dog and his or her new family, If you are interested in a particular dog we will give you as much information as we know.about that dog.
Everyone must submit an application before an appointment is made to meet the dogs. Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
All dogs are fostered in TN unless stated otherwise.
***Not able to adopt? Consider FOSTERING one of our four-legged friends***
Donations to help us care for all the dogs in our program are also greatly appreciated and may be made from our main petfinder page: http://IDGSR.petfinder.com
