Meet Wendy - a beautiful Corgi/Chihuahua mix rescued from the shelter with her babies in tow. This amazing mamma took over as a surrogate mamma for another litter of pups found in a dumpster when her own babies were weaned. She has done a great job raising two litters and it's now her turn to be somebody's baby!

One of our volunteers commented on her awesome personality: 'She's super sweet and affectionate. She'll get up on her back legs like a meerkat when she wants attention. The one thing I really love about Wendy is the ultimate joy she expresses when she masters a new found skill. It makes her happy, happy, happy. She wants to please and is learning how more and more each day!'

While Wendy may not have the Corgi 'paintbrush tail' many are known for, she has the Corgi attitude and the stunning Corgi features. Corgi's are relatively uncommon to find in rescue so this is a great opportunity to adopt a Corgi mix. This girl is smart, obedient and likes to run the show. She would probably enjoy agility training, if you have time to teach her. She gets along well with most of the other dogs and did well at her former foster mom's home with two large gentle Labs and a smaller Chihuahua. But to make sure it's a good fit, a meet and greet would be best if you have other dogs. She is playful and enjoys the cuddling like a Chihuahua does. She is really a special gal who is ready to be adopted into a loving home. If you are interested in her, please fill out an online application as your first step in the process or meet her at an adoption event!

This dog is available to foster-to-adopt.  For more details about our program, please see: http://tinylovingcanines.blogspot.com/2015/11/foster-to-adopt-policy.html

About Tiny Loving Canines (TLC)

About Our Rescue Group...

Tiny Loving Canines operates Ventura County's first and only full-time Rescue Center, open to the public 7 days/week in Simi Valley, CA.

We have the vision of a No-Kill generation, and our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home the abandoned and neglected animals in our community. Our rescue acts as a needs-based safety net, allowing dogs maximum exposure for adoption at the county shelters, and saving their lives when they run out of time. We will do whatever it takes, within our means, to save a dogs life (unless it is illegal or immoral). TLC is proud to partner with Ventura County Animal Services in the march toward No-Kill in Ventura County!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our Rescue Shop is located at 1736 Erringer on the 2nd Floor in Simi Valley, CA. We are open 7 days/week to showcase the dogs in our care. You can come visit our dogs and puppies Monday-Saturday from 12-7pm, and Sunday from 12-5pm.

Our Adoption Process...

Every dog and puppy that is adopted from TLC is spayed/neutered, brought up-to-date on vaccinations, and is microchipped. Adoptions also include a complementary wellness exam at Caring Hands Veterinary Hospital and a coupon book to use at Theresa's.

If you are interested in adopting one of our furbabies, the very first step is to complete an adoption application; this can be done either in person at our Rescue Center or online from the dog's profile. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
