Meet our special rescued Angel Girl. This special girl is a 2 year old, 45 pound, Golden Retriever/Spaniel mix (best guess) is just the sweetest soul ever. Angel Girl is a very sensitive dog who needs a lot of unconditional love. Rescued from an Alabama backyard where someone took her in from another family who was threatening to shoot her because she killed a free range chicken, which is always so tempting to a dog. She is not a prey oriented dog at all and is wonderful around the other small dogs and cats in her current foster home. The foster home has two young boys that she absolutely adores and she looks after them like a mother. Angel Girl tends to get scared of loud noises and angry voices make her run and hide and we understand why given the history and story we have of her previous life. She would make a wonderful pet with someone who has a quiet and calm home environment and who understands her needs. She seems to want to be with anyone that gives her the love that she so deserves. Loyalty to her people is a strong trait that we see in this companion dog. She is a very beautiful girl who has thick, soft fur that will need occasional brushing and bathing. She is a great dog with kids, cats, other dogs and she is housetrained, leashed trained, and crate trained. She is up to date on shots, and has been spayed and microchipped. She is ready for a forever home that is gentle and kind. PLEASE NOTE: Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted. Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site. The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.
