Missy's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.

Missy's Story...
Meet Missy! Missy is around 8-years-old, currently weighs 80lbs and was transferred from another shelter. She is an easy-going girl who just wants a spot at your feet by a warm fireplace. She occasionally has spurts of energy where she will romp around in our play yards, but other than that she enjoys daily rest & relaxation. She gets along with smaller dogs, doesn't mind cats and does not mind kids. She typically keeps to herself around other animals, but we're sure once she made that true bond with her person, she would make an incredible companion! Could you be the one to give this older gal a chance?

Missy is available and able to have applications submitted once you've met. For more information, please give us a call at (302) 571-0111 or visit us at our center (701 A Street Wilmington, DE) Tuesday-Friday 12-7pm or Saturday & Sunday 12-5pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Missy, a Wilmington Mixed Breed (Medium)/Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mixed Breed (Medium)/Rottweiler for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Mixed Breed (Medium)/Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mixed Breed (Medium)/Rottweiler breeders who help with Mixed Breed (Medium)/Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
