TAZ
Taz here is a Special needs doggie, needing a special family.
Taz is a 10 pound, 8 year old male Pomeranian mix.
Taz has recently been diagnosed with diabetes and is now insulin dependent so he will need a very structured daily food routine with insulin injections after his two meals each day. Unfortunately, because of the diabetes, Taz is now blind, but could regain his sight with very expensive cataract surgery.
He will need some extra special attention while he learns to navigate a new home. Despite his challenges he is house trained and has never even had an accident at his foster's home. He sleeps in a crate at night and has his favorite spots to lounge during the day. One of those spots is in his foster's closet right next to her shoes, silly boy.
Taz lives with many other dogs of different sizes and gets along with them, even engaging in play from time to time. He would do best in a quiet home without young children.
Note from his foster mom: There is so much to learn watching Taz. He is so resilient and doesn't let the fact that he can't see stop him from exploring. Dogs live in the moment and don't worry about what they have lost or what they can no longer do, he just enjoys his life.
Taz just needs a little extra care and lots of love...
