And now, a few words from me:

Hey, my name it Blitz – and I’ve been told that my name sorta suits me! Wow, my foster mom tells me I can choose whatever home I like, so here is what I’m looking for – a family that will include me in their activities, another nice doggie for me to play with, lots of butt scratches (those are the best!), and someone who will continue to remind me of my manners so that I can be a great dog. Could you be the family I’m looking for? Send in your application, I can’t wait to meet you!

And now, a few words from my foster mom:

Blitz came from a home where due to unfortunate circumstances and through no fault of his own, the family was not able to care for him any longer. He is a confident boy who loves to go on adventures, whether it is a nice walk, a car ride, or a trip to the dog park. He does have an off-switch though, and can just as happily snuggle up in a dog bed or on the couch with his people. He needs an equally confident owner to show him that he is in safe hands and doesn’t have to call the shots.

He has lived his entire life with a companion dog, and will often seek his sister out to snuggle with, but doesn’t seem to depend on her as he appears to be fine when they are separated for a while. He enjoys being around other well-socialized dogs, and likes a good game of chase, but he is not a “rough-houser”. He is confident in the dog park, and doesn’t cause trouble with the other dogs.

Having someone home most of the day is ideal to give him lots of opportunities to go outside for potty breaks. He generally does his “business” outside but reinforcement may be necessary. He would be best in a home without a cat. He does tend to bark at unexpected noises and doorbells, so apartment/condo living is not recommended. He learns quickly, and will sit nicely for treats when asked.

Blitz is an entertaining little dog with lots of love to give, and might just be the perfect addition to your family.

Our Adoption Process...

In order to adopt from us, you need to complete an adoption application. Follow this link

Once the application is completed, it will be reviewed for suitability, and if yes, we will book a telephone interview with you, and check the veterinary and personal references that you provided. If that goes well, a home visit will be booked, and if your home is safe, the adoption can proceed. You will be required to execute and adoption contract and pay a set adoption fee
