3 week old baby guinea pigs's Story...
We have some baby guinea pigs that are looking for their new homes! These current guinea pigs are two males and one female. We were informed that they were born on 3/11/16, making them 3 weeks old. Perfect time to take one (or a few!) of them home! They are still tiny and fluffy, they could fit in the palm of your hand! We just think they’re absolutely adorable.

As you can see from the pictures, these guinea pigs all are individuals! They appear to be Abyssinian mixes, as they all have various different levels of rosettes in their fur. We still have the black and cream male, and the female that is jet black with a dark cream colored blaze on her face and a white right hip. They’re all cute in their own way!

These guinea pigs have been handled (and well fed) since birth. They love their veggies and go to town every time they get some new greens to munch on.

Any of these three guinea pigs would make a great “first guinea pig” for someone who’s never had guinea pigs before, as long as they’re planning to devote time to working with them to continue to ensure that they will enjoy being handled as they get older. As it is right now, they’re your typical guinea pig – they will move away from you when you reach in the cage, but are super sweet and do well with handling and petting, when you actually are holding them in your hands.

Each guinea pig will come with some food to start you out (2 pounds of Oxbow Cavy Cuisine pellets), and a printed out version of our care packet. The guinea pig will also come with a lifetime of help and support, should you ever need it. If more supplies are needed, we also sell a variety of supplies, from cages to hidey houses / igloos to the pelleted food, hay, toys, and everything in between.

Regardless of past guinea pig experience, all potential homes will be asked to read our guinea pig care packet and fill out our guinea pig adoption form. If you are unwilling to do this, please do not waste our time or yours. No guinea pig will go to a new home without an adoption form being filled out - no exceptions.

These guinea pigs are located in Hammond, Indiana (zip code 46324). Sorry, we do not ship guinea pigs.

The adoption fee for these guinea pigs are $35 each. Adopt two same-sex guinea pigs for $60

Why Adoption is a Great Option

3 week old baby guinea pigs, a Hammond Guinea Pig was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Guinea Pig for sale in Hammond, or seeking a Guinea Pig from a breeder in Hammond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hammond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hammond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Guinea Pig breeders who help with Guinea Pig rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hammond paves the way for another one to be saved.
