My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Miss Rose is a gorgeous Pit Bull mix, always greeting you with a bright smile. She was born around February 2014 and is now 3 years old. She weighs around 40 pounds.

When our street team volunteer encountered Rose, she was favoring her front right leg and not putting weight on it and in fact knuckling which told us there was serious damage. She had a little bit of milk left and seemed to be frantically looking for puppies. Our volunteer spent hours walking with her in hopes that she would lead them to puppies, but that never happened. We assume she was dumped without the puppies or someone took the puppies when they were all dumped and left her. We took Rose to the clinic and found her leg had a brachial plexus injury and could not be saved.

Miss Rose has adjusted nicely to being a tripod and is just as mobile as she was with 4 legs. She has been living at our rehabilitation facility and has cuddled herself into every staff members heart. Yes, she did and she does it well.

She is very friendly and outgoing. She has excellent leash manners and listens on command. The staff and volunteers describe her as an average energy type of girl. She prefers affection and cuddles over anything else. When it is her turn to have some time out of the kennel she loves to play and cuddle with her new furry boyfriend Kodiak, too.

Now that she has recovered from surgery, Rose said, she is ready to meet her very own family. She said, she is ready to finally indulge in all of the good things life has to offer. Could you make her wish come true?

**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275. A customs fee may apply at Canadian airports. Ground transportation to Colorado is available for $75, and several locations in the northeastern US for $175.

We are a street dog rescue in Houston, Texas seeking to place rescued dogs in loving homes across the US and Canada. Our region has more homeless animals than homes, so we look outside of our area for adopters.

The adoption fee of $200 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines.
