Abraham Lincoln (Lincoln for short) was at a shelter that was going to euthanize him when we spotted him. He was such a beauty, and just because he was nervous around humans, his short life was going to come to an end. One of our fosters saw him on Facebook and immediately wanted to save him. When Lincoln first came to her home, he was extremely frightened. It was obvious that the beginning of his life was difficult for him. Slowly he began to trust her and then was able to meet her other kitties and dog. He immediately loved all of the other kitties, he would start purring his little heart out when they would come to visit him. He tried to play with the dog, but he wasn't interested. Lincoln spends his days birdwatching on the patio and running around the house playing with the other cats. Lincoln would do best in a home with another feline buddy to play with. Often he is found snuggled with one of the cats in a kitty bed. He has the hunting spirit of a lion and loves to play! After he's worn himself out, he usually spends his nights snuggled with the smallest human in the house, the 9 year old boy. Sometimes he is so affectionate that he will drool on you, it's very sweet. It usually takes a day or two for Lincoln to warm up to you, but once he does, he will be your friend for life! He's a gorgeous little guy and whoever adopts him will be a very lucky family!
