My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ghost: the Senor Boy with Spring in His Step
11-12-year-old, white, large, male German Shepherd
Good with other dogs: Yes (females)
Good with children: Yes
Good with cats: Unknown

Our sweet senior boy Ghost has been through so much. When we first brought him into the Saving Paws family, a medical examination revealed a tumor that needed to be removed. Talk about a tumor! The vets removed a 10 pounder from this darling boy. Boy, did he feel better afterwards. Now, Ghost wants nothing more than a loving family to hang out with.

Ghost has been with an experienced foster family who raves about what a sweet boy he is. He absolutely loves people! In fact, he’s been to several events at the Saving Paws booth and loves to greet his fans. And if you think he’s too old for exercise, think again. He loves his daily walks and even hops around when you get the leash out.

He gets along with other dogs, but really prefers females. And as a senior boy, he would do best with a nice, quiet home and calm dogs that don’t irritate him. He walks well on a leash, but can be reactive to other dogs. He just loves a good road trip too. He does need a little help getting into the car, but once in, he’s ready to go have fun with his people. He does like to play for brief periods, but then he’s happy curled up on his bed taking a nap.

If you’re looking for a gentle, mellow dog that just loves attention and people, then Ghost is your guy! Please fill out our online application to get the approval process started. We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application. All staff members are volunteers and are not compensated for their time and expenses. Many juggle family and full-time careers while volunteering at Saving Paws. Please be patient, as sometimes it takes up to 5 days to process an application.
