My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cami and Capri were born April 2016. We received the entire litter after a woman surrendered them from an accidentally pregnancy. The mom was a Pomeranian mix and the dad was a Chihuahua. They were adopted out together when they were 3 months old and were recently turned in to a kill shelter with “We’re too old for puppies” as a reason. We are still working on attitude adjustment as they were most likely given free range with their parents. It appears to be an easy fix though. They have already become crate trained and doggie door trained. They do love to play! They love to play in the backyard with all the other dogs, especially tag. They are not really a bonded pair since coming back to CPR, but they would do great staying together. Their adoption fee is $175 each or $250 for the pair. Please remember, that most of the time having 2 dogs is easier than having one. Requires more money for vet bills, food, etc but so worth it in the end.

Our fees vary based on the animal. Low Cost Heartworm prevention is available for all animals that we adopt out. Please ask your volunteer for prices.

We are a RESCUE ORGANIZATION; please complete your online Adoption Application, which can be found on our website. We require an adoption application, vet reference, and a home visit with the pet. ALL of our pets are spayed or neutered prior to being adopted. They are UTD on shots, heartworm negative or treated, and micro chipped. They must be kept on heartworm preventative. Our adoption fees vary. Puppies have an increased adoption fee since they need three or four sets of shots, multiple de-wormings, and other puppy needs to keep them healthy.
