May Day is an adorably sweet girl that is looking for her forever home. May Day has lived her life in a hoarding situation but is still loving and craves attention.
She is a sweet little pup considering the rough life she started with. She does not walk but scampers or prances to wherever she needs to be. Gets along with her housemates (3) and tries to imitate them as well. She is learning house training and doing fairly well. Loves to be outside when the weather permits but also, loves to sit on the couch by her people.
She is learning to respond to the “kennel-up” command and in no time will have it mastered. While the other dogs may be barking, MayDay does not join in. She is not a big barker, but will let you know if someone is at the door or another dog is approaching. Because she is a flight risk, we have not walked outside the fenced yard; but does walk well on a leash inside the fenced yard.
She does well with dogs, cats, and respectful children. Fast movements of small children may make her nervous.
May Day has tested positive for heartworm disease. She will be treated by MARS so she can live a very long, healthy and happy life!
She is excited to start a new life that includes a family.
