Regina is a beautiful, happy little dog who is active and loves the company of other dogs. She also loves her toys and her bed. Because she is so shy with people, Regina is still working on being leashed up to go for walks. But when she's able to do so, she enjoys hitting the trails with Dogtown caregivers and regular volunteers. Regina was born in 2014. She arrived at Best Friends somewhat unsocialized and remains skittish of new people and situations. But she has come a long way at the Sanctuary and is slowly learning to trust people. She's also making progress on housetraining and riding in a car.
Because of her anxiety, Regina can be an escape artist and will try to run away when she is afraid. She also eats a prescription diet for occasional stress-related stomach upset. But Regina is making strides every day and is slowly turning into the loving companion she's always wanted to be.
