Jessa's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Jessa's Story...
Jessa is a 2 year old black and tan female. She is on a smaller side, around 65 lbs and acts like a big puppy. Jessa has been around small dogs and is currently in a foster home in Ormond Beach with two large dogs but she has no basic obedience and knows no boundaries when it comes to other animals, so she needs a home with a tolerant dog and a "hands on" owner who has experience with the breed and knows how to read the dog's body language. She is also a jumper (foster family working on that now) so although she is very kid friendly, a home with older kids would be a good match for her. Jessa is completely housebroken and crate trained. She has a goofy and silly side to her and loves to roll on her back for belly rubs. Squeaky toys and treats are also on her list of favorites. She is fully vetted, spayed and microchipped but also tested light heartworm positive during her latest vet visit so as of now, she is only available to a family who has been through heartworm treatment with a dog before and can provide proper care while she gets injections. Such family must be able to bring her to our rescue approved vet in Ormond Beach or Jacksonville. Jessa's adoption fee is $250. Applications can be found at www.dbgsdrescue.org
An approved adoption application and a home visit are required prior to meeting Jessa. Thank you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jessa, a Ormond Beach German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Ormond Beach, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Ormond Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ormond Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ormond Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ormond Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
