My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Bernie, and I am a happy, gentle-natured, easy-going fella who loves nothing more than the quiet company of my humans. I don't mind being around big dogs, and I am great with small dogs. My foster mom has a mixture of both. I do love a little 'man cave" where I can escape from giant paws. You see, I was found in a field, so matted & mangled that, at first, no one was sure what I was. My nails were grown into the pads of my paws, and one of my rear legs was matted to my belly fur. Once I was shaved nice & clean, they x-rayed me to find that both of my hamstrings (rear legs) were severed. It's an old injury, so I'm ok now and get around with a slight hobble. A very sweet donor paid for me to have wheels (weeeeeeee!), so I am going to be fitted soon and will be able to run if I choose!!. I will not need my wheels in the house, as I get around easily and with no pain or problems. I do not even really "need" wheels, but they will be great for walks or running through the grass!!!. My favorite thing to do is get carried around and "arm wrestle" with my foster mom's hand. I am super happy, curious, and quiet. And so, sofffft….man, am I ever bunny-soft. I potty outside like a good boy. I think you will love me- but first we have to meet!
If you are interested in meeting the fabulous Bernie(who is estimated to be 3 yrs old), please contact a volunteer at 303-526-8129 or beanharvey5@hotmail.com Bernie's adoption fee of 175 covers the cost for his neuter, vaccinations and microchip.
