Candy's Story...
Candy is one of the Valentine's Day puppies and is a Corgi, Chihuahua, Border Collie mix. We think they'll only be around 20-30 pounds as adults, but it's just a guess. They'll be ready for adoption in time for Easter so get your application in now! Go to www.shelterfriends.org to apply today!

Their adoption fee is $125 and includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, deworming and microchip.

**We do NOT have a facility you can visit, as we are a foster-based rescue. If you want to meet them you must complete the adoption application on our website first. Or you can attend one of our upcoming adoption events listed on the website and our Facebook page.**

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Candy, a Newcastle Corgi/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi/Chihuahua for sale in Newcastle, or seeking a Corgi/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Newcastle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newcastle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newcastle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi/Chihuahua breeders who help with Corgi/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newcastle paves the way for another one to be saved.
