My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marley is a 2-3 year old, 50 pound Catahoula mix. She is a special needs dog. Marley is deaf and uses hand signals for her commands. Because Marley can’t hear she needs a fenced yard to safely run and play. Marley was born with a double pupil in one eye and does not have great vision out of that eye. Marley would enjoy active people who have time to spend with her. Even though Marley was born deaf she is verbal. Other dogs are very confused by her verbal queues because they are not quite “normal”. Because of this it would be a good idea for Marley to be the only dog in her home or with a male dog. She likes to be the only lady of the house. She is also becomes very focused on any cats, so her new home should also not have cats.
Marley was owner surrendered and was bounced around a lot in her short life. We know she had at least 5 homes in 3 states before she came to us. She is looking for a forever home who will be patient with her. Marley hasn’t had a lot of love in her short life. She is a happy girl but it is going to take her some time to bond with her new family because she has lost every home she has ever had.
Marley is a good girl and is house trained. She loves children and since she is deaf she doesn't care how much noise they make. Marley is very drawn to children and loves it when they touch her. She is very gentle with young children and loves to run and play in the yard with them.
Marley is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, heartworm tested, and microchipped. She is all set to find his forever home and settle in.
