Nena is a precious little girl that looks very much like a deer head Chihuahua. She adjusted fast to her foster home and is doing well with all people and the family’s dogs. She is house trained and crate trained. She also sleeps all night in her crate. She is very affectionate and cuddling, and she sees your lap as her favorite nap spot. She is so grateful to her foster mom that she happily reciprocates by cleaning the floors from any leftover crumbs and guarding the house. Nena is super smart and understands quickly what you expect from her. She has a typical Chi personality, she knows what she likes and she let you know what she doesn’t, and I wonder why all my dogs’ toys and bones are slowing accumulating in HER bed! She is ready to become a great “portable” companion!

About A Forever Home Rescue Foundation

About Our Rescue Group...

A Forever-Home Rescue Foundation is a non-profit animal rescue group that operates in the Northern Virginia / Washington Metropolitan area. We strive to make quality dogs available for adoption and do our best to match prospective adopters with the right animal!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Adoption events are held at Petco in the Greenbriar Shopping Center every Sunday from 1-4 pm. We do occassionally skip a week, so please visit our primary website at to confirm that we're having an event on the weekend you plan to attend.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an adoption application to be filled out, an interview with one of our volunteers (this can be done at the adoption event), a home visit is required prior to the animal going to their new home. An adoption fee is required to adopt a pet from AFH. Please visit our primary website at for details.
