Shelby's Story...
Shelby is a beautiful Border Collie/Australian Shepard girl looking for her forever family. She is currently around 6 months old, and 30 lbs., and will be a medium sized adult dog.
Shelby is friendly, active, playful and fun-loving! She loves everybody and everything, and assumes that they all love her back!
Any dogs in her forever home will need to be young and playful as well. Older dogs will not like her energy level. Cats are not an issue. I have some, and she does not bother them.
Shelby is great with children, but over 5 would be best. She is too active for toddlers.
This girl is smart, corrects easily and is eager to please. She is crate trained, and working on housebreaking. (She is young and accidents DO still happen)
Being a Border Collie/Australian Shepard, Shelby needs room to run. Here she stays in a fenced yard with our other dogs during the day. She comes inside when we get home and behaves well. Sleeps inside all night with no problem.
Shelby will make some lucky family a loving, loyal, lifelong companion. Please email if you have questions or would like to meet her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shelby, a Pulaski Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in Pulaski, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Pulaski.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pulaski already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pulaski breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pulaski paves the way for another one to be saved.
