Jay's Story...

Jay is a salt and pepper terrier mix with a heart of gold. About 37 lbs, 2 years old, and full of love, Jay is a reserved boy who wants to share his affection with those he loves and trusts the most. He does get along well with other dogs, his best friend is a pittie in our care named Luigi, and cats. His eyes are big brown Hershey kisses and his expressive face will lead you into the labyrinth of his soul. Jay found himself in a kill shelter because his former human couldn't care for him anymore. She would constantly let him loose outside and animal control would bring him back. After this occurred multiple times, she decided to surrender him into the shelter. While she did love him, she could not care for him. Luckily, Jay did not suffer at the shelter for long because we found his face irresistible.

He would make the perfect addition into your home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jay, a Brooklyn Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
