"I'm a goofy goober ROCK! You're a goofy goober ROCK! We're all goofy goobers ROCK! So if your thinkin' that you'd like to be like me. Go ahead and try. The kid inside will set you free!" - from 'Goofy Goober Rock' featured in the 'Sponge Bob Square Pants Movie'

Did you know that a goober is a peanut? Just so you do know...our sweet Goober is definitely NOT a peanut! Our goofy Goober is a very handsome 10 month old brindle Mastiff/Labrador mix who currently weighs 65 pounds. We're pretty sure he still has a little bit of growing to do and will likely be 70 to 80 pounds when full grown. While we may not know for sure just how big he'll end up being, we do know without a doubt he will bring even bigger love, fun, and affection to some super lucky family!

Our adorable goofy Goober is indeed a goof. He is one of those pooches that just exudes happiness and you just can't help but smile and be happy back. Goober is house and crate trained, well mannered and eager to please. He has learned a couple of basic commands and is currently working on a few more.

Goober is a good boy on leash and loves going for his daily walks. He loves life and every wonderful thing good people bring with it, including the great outdoors. He's the kind of guy that would love an active family to walk, run, play, or hike with. Goober with his childlike persona, is happy to meet, live, or hang out with other dogs, cats, and kids. His foster mom pretty much just gushed about how awesome he is. The only thing she (laughingly) warned us about was his digging antics. Of course this could always be useful if you like to plant things? He loves to play fetch and roll around in the grass. He is always affectionate and adores being around his people happily walking by your side every step of the way.

Goober is already neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro chipped. This beautiful boy is ready to find his forever loving family and home where he can rock your world and fill it with childlike wonder. Ready to set the kid inside you free? Lovable goofy Goober will show you the way!

PLEASE REMEMBER: The specific breed of any dog abandoned to
shelter is the best guess by seasoned rescuers in accord with our veterinarians.

Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:

Thorough veterinary examination.

All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella, Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming.

Spay/Neuter.

All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.

VETTING NOTE: Double Dog Rescue completely vets our dogs thoroughly to the best of our knowledge based on communication with our Southern Vets. If anything is brought to our attention, we treat the dog. After adopting the dog, you will be responsible for following up with all vetting going forward.

HEARTWORM NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 5-6 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
