A - BELLE's Story...
Hi, my name is BELLE! What’s yours? Nice to meet ya! ASK TO SEE MY VIDEO!!!

Hey! Before you get attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Houston, TX but I want to get OUT of Houston and OUT of Texas so I can have a really good life. I want to see Texas in my rear view mirror. A nice person came along and took me in and, now, I am ready to hit the road to your house! Uh, make that “our” house, OK? As soon as you adopt me, I’ll be on my way to you! I am very excited to find my forever home.

I am a Lab/Collie mix girl. I am about 8 months old and I weigh 31 pounds now but will grow to probably about 50 pounds. I have had all of my shots and have been spayed and I'm ready to go to my new home with YOU! Those funny-looking 2-legged creatures also say that I am microchipped – whatever THAT is.

Wanna hear more good stuff about me? OK, here goes. My foster parents tell everyone that I am a sweet and lovely girl with a sweet and pleasing personality. Call me Miss Congeniality if you like!

Guess what else? I love people and kids! Are kids people too? I don't know if I like cats yet. I haven't been exposed to any but, at my young age, I could probably easily get adjust to kitty cats. Doggies are my favorite!

My foster mom loves me SO much that she only wants me to fly to my new home even if a pet transport truck was available. See my adoption information below.

If you would like to take me home (and you know you do), please email mpringle001@comcast.net and she can get me on my way to a new and loving home! My adoption fee is $650 USD and includes my vetting, spaying, microchip, health certificate, travel crate AND transportation on United Airlines from Houston, TX to areas in the Northeast U. S., North Central U. S., Northwest U. S., and Canada and will be arranged by the rescue group. (This is a courtesy posting.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

A - BELLE, a Portland Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
