Tara – Yellow Female, 13 years, 65 lbs.

Sweet 'Tira Misu', was Tara’s given name, and this sweet adorable angel wants nothing more than a soft bed, a loving home, and a special lap to place her head. Tara was raised by a family and loved all her life, unfortunately her elderly owner suffered a stroke and could no longer care for Tara.

The Defenders of Dogs was contacted, and Tara’s family with teary eyes and heartfelt goodbyes entrusted her care to the Lab Rescue volunteers.

Tara is a sweet gentle soul, she gets along with other dogs, loves kids and people of all ages, and is a well-mannered senior girl that mostly stays in the house curled up on her favorite bed. She is crate and house trained, and enjoys short walks with her foster family.

Tara has skin allergies and currently Lab Rescue is working to try to make her comfortable and keep her skin and coat in check.  She has been medicated and is eating a special diet to help her skin heal and keep her from having chewing and itching problems particularly on her chin and her feet.

Tara will have a reduced adoption fee as a senior dog, and applicants should be prepared to maintain her allergy medication and special feeding diet to help keep Tara as comfortable as possible.

If you have room in your heart for a special sweet senior girl, please inquire. To apply to adopt Tara visit www.labrescuefresno.org.
