Thank you, for caring enough to consider adopting a rescued pup in need of love, respect and a warm place to lay it's head fur-ever.

NALA(dob 03/17/15) was taken in by a young couple who saw her through the birth of her litter after being abandoned in a rural community in Rutherford Co, NC. When the pups were old enough to leave Mom(NALA), they asked the mail carrier if she could help them find homes for them. Having worked with/fostered for our rescue in the past, she immediately called us. YES! We had plenty of room for them. Then, when she brought the pups to me, she showed me a picture of sweet Mom chained to a tree(NALA). I asked her if she thought they'd let me find a home for her and she say, 'God, yes!' So, NALA sweet baby-girl has come here to help her find her a RESPONSIBLE and appreciative FAMILY of her very own(which she aptly deserves). As stated, she is VERY SWEET(see videos), friendly, outgoing, happy and healthy and possesses a wonderfully playful, loving and devoted demeanor.

HOUSEBROKEN. Walks well on a 'Gentle Leader' and is housebroken and crate-trained. She is best suited for a home with a fenced-in yard, or rural setting with another medium>large fur-buddy to run and play with. Wants to be/enjoy life with her person, wants to please and snuggle against her favorite person at night but satisfied with her own sleeping area/crate IF required. Would make an excellent hiking/running buddy for an active person. NOT a couch potato, but enjoys snuggling with her people immensely, at the end of the day.

Gets along well with other M>LG with NO cats and no small people(too energetic at her young age, might playfully tip them over).

This pup is in and will remain in foster care in Rutherfordton, NC until the following SATURDAY after her fur-ever family/person is approved.

Upon request, we will be happy to send you more videos and pictures of this pup interacting with her H4S buddies, to help you get a better understanding of their personality and activity level and how they interact with their people and other pups.

PLEASE, copy and paste the application provided below into a new email, answer each question thoroughly(the more/detailed info, the better your chances of being approved), and send to

About Howlin4Spirit CARes - Lincolndale NY

About Our Rescue Group...

Howlin4Spirit Companion Animal Rescue is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization. It is with tribute to our region that we proudly say that we have rescued over 8,000 lives since the inception in Jan/2004.

We are a network of foster homes in NC, PA, NJ and NY.
We rescue all our pups(young and old) from high-kill Animal Control facilities in SC, NC and from unwanted, neglect & abusive situations in rural areas of our region.

All our rescued dogs are completely vetted at: Rutherford Vet Hospital, Rutherforton, NC (tele#828-286-9335/Michelle Toms-Greene, DVM).

When the dogs are completely vetted (ALL dogs are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, & heartworm neg...if they test positive, they are treated. H4S CARes absorbs the expense) and can easily pass the strict requirements for a health certificate to travel out of state, we place them up on this site and other pet adoption venues. All adoption applications are processed through our home office in Rutherfordton, NC but most foster parents are personally involved & must approve each adopter as they know their foster dog best.

Why? FOR THE ADOPTABLE HOMELESS DOGS who have the ability to go forth and share unconditional love and companionship, & who would otherwise needlessly be put to death for no fault of their own.

Also, we ALWAYS spay the mama dogs, if an owner releases any puppies/litters to H4S CARes. This is never negotiable!

We do everything we can to help stop the pet overpopulation problem. Thank you, for considering adopting a rescued companion animal.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We adopt directly to adopters, who find our rescued foster pups via the internet, We arrange all transport to and from all adoptive homes.

Our Adoption Process...

NO dog EVER leaves our care without being altered and receiving the above-mentioned vet care.

This pup is in foster care in Rutherfordton, NC where it is completing it's 3 week quarantine, receiving vaccines and dewormings, and will be spayed or neutered & micro-chipped before it will be allowed to go to it's pre-approved furever family.
