Porter arrived on Saturday (04.08.17) scared out of his mind. His previous owners had let their teenagers abuse him for two years. After taking two day to relax and realize no one would hurt him, he is starting to trust his foster mom and form a bond. He also has enjoyed playing with the two other forster dogs (one male and one female). He is crate trained also.

About Recycled Tails

About Our Rescue Group...

Recycled Tails was created by Heidi Evans in 2011 to continue her life long dream of rescuing animals of all shapes and sizes.

We have our 501c3 non-profit status and are always recruiting foster homes. We rescue unwanted pets including dogs, other domestic pets and barnyard friends (including chickens!) and work to find them their new forever homes.

We have a program to help pet owners who need to rehome their pets to keep their pets in their homes until a new home can be found. We can provide vet care/food/training to qualified pet owners who have a reason to rehome their pet in order to allow the pet to stay in the home as long as possible. Our goal is to place the pet right from one home to another.

We believe education can be the key to successful pet ownership. Heidi has spoken at schools and other programs to young adults about the meaning of owning a pet and all of the requirements that go along with it. If we can educate our youth it will benefit the future of pet ownership overall. If you would like to learn more about this please email us.
