Sable-DIABETIC's Info...

I am already spayed, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Sable-DIABETIC's Story...
Sable is an insulin dependent diabetic, which she is totally used to and takes her injections like a champion. She is a little chihuahua possibly dachshund mix. She weighs about 10 pounds. And is a TOTAL LOVE!! I swear she sometimes wags her tail in her sleep. She is happy ALL of the time. She is a easy little girl who loves to snuggle, eat, potty, and repeat. Sable is well socialized with other dogs, cats, and humans. She would not require a fenced in yard as she is fine with walks and potty breaks and would do fine in an apartment or condo setting. Sable is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and kept on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. She is currently being fostered in Tennessee, but is available to be transported to the Northeast. Please email us at brighthopeadoptions@gmail.com for an application. Her adoption fee is $275 and her transport fee is $145.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sable-DIABETIC, a Washington DC Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Washington DC, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Washington DC.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Washington DC already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Washington DC breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Washington DC paves the way for another one to be saved.
