Hey there, I'm Sassy. My loving mom got sick and died and I was surrendered to the shelter. The nice people at ALIVE Memphis happened to be at the shelter that day and they brought me to a foster home. My foster home is full of people, dogs, and love. There is a woman and man who I LOVE and two small senior dogs and a playful medium sized dog. I get along great with everyone. I also love all the family and friends that come over to visit. I do great on car rides and I never mind going into my crate when my foster parents go to work. I'm awesome at letting everyone know when it's time to go outside. My foster mom boasts that I have not had one accident in the house from the day I arrived. I'm a big girl with a huge heart and would love to come snooze on your couch. I may have lost my mom but I have enough room in my heart for a new one. I hope that is you!
All of our pets start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted.
In order to qualify for ALIVE’s program all of the following steps must be met: • You must be at least 24 years of age and be able to provide ALIVE with proof of age. • Any current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, and be spayed/neutered. Exceptions to this will only be considered if proof of a medical explanation is provided. • If you currently rent, you must provide a landlord’s phone number and a copy of your executed lease. • All members of the family living in the home where the animal will be placed must be interviewed. • Allow an ALIVE Rescue Memphis representative into your home for a visit to insure that your home is safe for the potential new dog or cat. • Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and proper care for a pet. • Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog from ALIVE Rescue Memphis is $300.00. The $300.00 adoption fee includes transport to the Nashville area.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you submit an application immediately to start the adoption process. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, ALIVE Rescue Memphis is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well educated decision from well qualified staff.
