Sugar's Story...
Sugar was rescued from the local county shelter. She was going to be put to sleep the next day. She didn't have many views or "shares" on her video page and her time was winding down. We couldn't let that happen so a wonderful foster opened up her home and her heart to help save Sugar's life! Sugar is approximately 2 years old and about 50 lbs. She loves, loves, humans and her favorite thing is to sit in your lap and listen to you tell her what a good girl she is. Sugar gets along great with other dogs and she loves kids. She is sweet as sugar and would make a wonderful addition to your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sugar, a Houston Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Houston, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
