Koko's Story...
I’m an adorably cute fun-loving unique-looking little girl kitty that makes you want to hum the Beach Boys song “Kokomo”. I’m Koko. I’m a distinctive-looking feline with dark black but distinctively tabby stripes, offset by a white bib and white belly and 4 white mittens. Check out my little white “smudge” on my lip – looks like I’ve been sneaking my mouth into a bowl of cream. And then there’s my long white whiskers. Aren’t I a cutie? I have 1 sister named Kiwi and 7 – yes, I said 7 – brothers. I romp and wrestle with all my siblings. Those boys aren’t going to defeat me! I love to chase laser lights and the new whizzing, flying butterfly toy that foster mommy bought just for us kittens. All that playing and chasing can get awfully tiring, so then it’s time to fall asleep on foster mommy’s lap.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Koko, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
