Colby's Story...
I’m Colby Jack, one of the 5 orange “cheeses” of the litter of 9. Foster mommy called me and my 2 brothers, Nugget and Muenster, the Three Amigos until we were nearly 3 weeks old because she couldn’t tell us apart! Now it’s clear—at least to those who look closely—that I have a cute little white nose that distinguishes me from the other “Amigos”. I love the laser light and Da Bird—those are my favorite toys. Oh, and I like hanging out with my siblings and exploring my foster home. I love being with foster mommy, and I love people. Are you ready to be my mom or dad? I’d love to find a family to love.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Colby, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
