Dale's Info...

I am good with kids and not good with small animals.

Dale's Story...
*Single male Chinese hamster
*Between 6 months old and 1 year.
*You can tell him apart from the one he came in with because he is bigger (which is still tiny, lol).
-Dale was surrendered because his owner could no longer care for him and didn't have time to give him any attention. When these little guys came in I thought there was something wrong with them because we've never had Chinese hamsters here. They are so laid back! I'm used to crazy dwarf hamsters that don't sit still and these guys are so sweet. They just like to hang out in your hand, don't mind being picked up, and like being petted. They are awesome! Please older children or adults as they are so small and potentially fragile if dropped or mishandled. Adoption fee is $15 per hamster, and if you are interested in the tank and supplies they were surrendered with it is $25. Our adoption application can be filled out here:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dale, a Edinburg Hamster was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hamster for sale in Edinburg, or seeking a Hamster from a breeder in Edinburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edinburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edinburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hamster breeders who help with Hamster rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edinburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
