This sleepy little fella is Rowdy; don't let the pictures fool you either because this little boy is appropriately named. Rowdy is a 5-6 week old Black Domestic Short Haired kitten who was found abandoned in our front yard. Rowdy looks like a popcorn kernel in the morning and he wears himself out come afternoon and only wants to nap. Typical kitten for you if you ask us. Rowdy is not altered yet and can't go home until he reaches 2 pounds but he can be adopted if you want to make him yours. Rowdy is litter box trained, good with children who can handle kitten play (using teeth and paws) and is good with other cats. No worries if you have a dog, this baby is young enough to learn to adapt and warm up to the right mutt.

Rowdy's adoption fee is $75.00 which covers his wellness check, age appropriate vaccinations, rabies shot and neuter surgery.
ROWDY, Domestic Short Hair Mix has been shared from Shelter Exchange.

About Stephens County Humane Society

About Our Shelter...

We are a Humane Society and Rescue organization serving Stephens County, Oklahoma and it's communities. We work closely with local municipal animal control departments in providing shelter to abandoned, abused, and surrendered animals, and finding homes for as many adoptable pets as we possibly can. We stress spaying and neutering as the one key way to prevent unwanted puppies and kittens.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our Shelter is located at 714 Martin Luther King Ave., Duncan, Oklahoma 73533. Our current hours are:

Monday & Thursday : closed except for intakes
Tuesday & Friday : 12-6

Sunday: 12-2

We are closed all major Holidays

Our Adoption Process...

We use a simple adoption application/agreement. To complete the application process, we ask for reference letters from the adopting family's veterinarian and two character references. Adoption fees are $100.00 for dogs and $75.00 for cats. Fees include spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccination and age appropriate vaccinations.

We have 3 main requirements for our dog adoptions.
1- We require a fenced yard
2- If you rent, we require a letter from the landlord stating
pets are permitted in their residence.
3- If you have dogs currently, arrangements must be
made for a meet and greet to ensure all parties are
agreeable.
