Facts about Isabel

  • Breed: Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow Mix
  • Color: Black - With Gray Or Silver
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 15717
I adopted her as a puppy almost 17 years ago and the rescue organization told me that she was half Lab/ half Chow. As a puppy, she spent a lot of time around other dogs and children and can acclimate very well with them. She is very old, but with very few health issues. Her major health issue, and really her only health issue, appears to be arthritis due to loss of muscle mass. She still has plenty of life left in her and she enjoys walking outside in the yard or going for short walks.

She needs someone who is willing to take care of her physical therapy which would include things like helping her get up in the morning. In the morning, because she sleeps all night, her muscles tend to be very stiff and sometimes she has a hard time getting up and moving around. Once she is up and gets her muscles moving and warmed up she is perfectly fine and goes wherever she wants to go.

She is close the end of her life but my hope is to find her a nice home where she can spend her remaining time. Thank you!
