Millie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Millie's Story...
About 2 years ago I went to my groomer's shop and a young lady was sitting there with Millie. My groomer told me that she is hoping to find someone who could take Millie. Her owner was having a high risk pregnancy and was going to be on bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy. My heart went out to both of them so I brought Millie home. She made friends quickly with all my dogs and was fine around my cats.

Unfortunately, I do not have the time to spend with her that she deserves. I take care of my elderly parents and she jumps up on them. They are just too big for me to keep since my parents are so fragile now. I am also trying to find a home on this site for her buddy, Brutus, a Great Pyrenees.

I put on her profile that she is up to date on her shots. I will be taking her to the vet next week for a full checkup and all her boosters. I will also have her heart worm tested (she has been on preventative though) and I will give her a Trifexis. She will have a clean bill of health for whoever adopts her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Millie, a Alvarado Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Alvarado, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Alvarado.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Alvarado already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Alvarado breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Alvarado paves the way for another one to be saved.
