Adopting A Shelter Dog

These dogs come without background histories/ past medical information. We present these dogs as we have observed in relationship to age, size, breed, behavior, housebreaking, crate training, good with children, cats, dogs, and strangers. Dogs may present themselves differently in different environments, therefore The Dog Spot Rescue, their agents, volunteers, can not guarantee behavior, age, size expectations, breed, house Training, destructive behavior tendencies, and/or medical issues. All dogs from shelters have been subjected to pathogens from the shelter level which can materialize into disease in the future.  Each adopter must observe for themselves pre-adoption and make decisions for themselves the suitability of said dog and their tolerance levels for transitional time when adopting a shelter dog.  We ask that each adopter take their time when making the choice to bring home a rescued dog.

Adoption is $400.00 and includes her spay, shots, rabies, heart worm test, bordetella, de worming treatment and a chip. She comes with a two week post adoption trial.

Juno is a exceptional Husky. We have very much enjoyed her here as our guest. She does not dig nor jump fences. She has energy but will mirror yours. She can be a couch potato when you want her to or she can play ball, run on the trails with you, hike, frolic in the ocean. She has been good with dogs tall and small here but does not want to share her food with other dogs. She really is not interested in being a companion dog for another dog but prefers a human companion that she will be come a soul mate to. Juno is decent on the leash but you still need to be physically fit to enjoy a Husky breed. She will LOVE you with her whole being. Juno will wrap herself around you, look up at you adoringly and give you a big 'WOOOO WOOOO WOOOO' in Husky talk.

Adoption is $400.00 and includes her basic exam, spay, shots, rabies, heart worm test, bordetella vaccine, heart worm test (negative) de worming and a chip.
If interested in adopting, please fill out an on line application at: thedogspot.rescuegroups.org and then contact us by e-mail at: thedogspotrescue@aol.com to arrange a meet and greet appointment.
She comes with a two week post adoption trial.
Juno has been waiting to meet you and has big paws crossed!

Your Adoption Fee covers the following expenses: Spay/Neuter, DHLPP, Bordatella, Rabies (if age appropriate), De-worming and Frontline/Advantage

Please Note: Shelter/rescue dogs have been exposed to many pathogens such as kennel cough, parasites, diseases and conditions some of which may not have been discovered prior to adoption. Any dog that shows symptoms here at TDS are routinely identified, taken for tests and treatment. Our vet bills can exceed $10,000 a month. However, without symptoms, we may miss a disease, or pre-existing condition or parasite. Consider carefully if you have the tolerance for these possibilities. We consider, you, the adopters, the last leg of the rescue process.

About The Dog Spot Rescue & Rehabilitation Center

About Our Rescue Group...

They come from overwhelmed, overcrowded shelters, owners in crisis, neglectful situations, or simply abandoned to fend for themselves. Our mission is to eliminate the need for euthanasia, as a means of controlling the overpopulation of dogs, by spaying and neutering and by offering a place for dogs to go where they may rest, recover and be re-homed into a safe nurturing environment.
