He was nervous at the shelter but once out he warmed up and then was social and friendly. He is happy when he is out with other dogs. At our vet he was nervous but warmed up to vet for exam. Then up front in his cage and friendly. Quiet and enjoys his walks. Mison is sweet and adorable. Excited with change and will bark in crate when no one is home. He is not used to crates but is learning. Needs time to learn from experienced dog guardians. He needs more exercise at doggie day care socials and to learn dog manners (not to dog play hump which usually subsides in a few days or week of play/corrections). Named after the handsome nice actor Tom Mison. Update 4/17/17: Mison was doing great at a doggie day care. Very dog social. Now crate trained. Loves his long walks. He had kennel cough and resting at his foster home with no other dog. He is a sweetie. 5/3/17: He is doing well at his foster home with 2 daily hour long walks but needs someone home or Doggie Day Care. When left home alone for a few hours and crated he will bark chew his bed and door. He has seperation anxiety. Not sure if he would do better in a home with another dog. Mison is great on leash super friendly social and loves to play with other dogs/tug/ball.

We are a non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing, fostering and finding homes for companion animals in the San Francisco Bay Area.

We need more foster homes so we can save more animals! Would you please consider opening your home to a loving companion animal so they can have a chance for a new life? See our Foster Home info page.

Our Adoption Process...

We are very thorough in our adoption process. The details and costs can be found on our How to Adopt page. We expect the whole family to be involved in the process.

We believe our dogs and cats should be treated as family members for their entire lives. They deserve the best we can give them and we should never give up on them. Adoption is for life!
