Jackson's Story...
Jackson is an 8 year old 6.6 pound Chihuahua. He is a very sweet little guy. He likes to be held and will come over to you in a very submissive way. He loves to be pet all over and will sit close to you and look at you for affection. Jackson is as quiet as he is sweet. He hasn’t made a peep in his foster home. He is crate trained, as well as housetrained. He rides very well in the car and would be a great travel companion due to his size. Jackson walks extremely well on a leash and enjoys his walks. He is currently being fostered with dogs and cats, co-habiting great with both.

When inside, Jackson loves curling up in blankets on the couch. When it’s time to settle in for the evening, he will crawl to you slowly and perch himself next to you. He is described as being low energy but has a small playful side.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jackson, a New York Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in New York, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
